I think one of the greatest abilities we have is the ability to study something and gain knowledge from it.
Definition of study:
noun
1. The effort to acquire knowledge, as by reading, observation, or research.
The study of language has overturned many misconceptions.
2. An act or effort made in the pursuit of knowledge.
applied himself to his studies.
On my journey of learning how to trade I instinctively knew that the only way I was going to be able to trade successfully is if I studied the market hard enough to acquire real knowledge of how it works so that I can take advantage of this information and use it to make me great returns. I knew it would take a while to accumulate this knowledge but I also knew it was possible to attain a superior knowledge, ahead of most people, and it would all come down to the effort I put into my studies.

Over the years I have had a lot of you asking me about how they should go about learning how to interpret the CFTC CoT data. This has not been an easy answer because when I gave them answer for some reason there was a lack of work needed to be done to acquire the skills in order to interpret the data correctly. This has lead to conclude that maybe what you guys would like is a class with the sole focus on interpreting the CFTC data.
I’ve been working out how I should structure these “study sessions” so that you could get the most out of them. One thing I want to see more of is your involvement in the session. I want everyone to be equipped with a microphone so that when called upon, you can speak up and share your thoughts. This is crucial to your skill-set development.
In these sessions we’ll have a look at the latest CFTC data and we’ll take it apart piece be piece; we’ll examine the supply/demand dynamics of each chart and determine the reasoning behind the positional shifts and then come to certain conclusions from our analysis and record the outcomes so we may be able to learn from the results.
I will be setting up these new sessions this month, so stay tuned and get ready to do some studying. These sessions will transform our trading.
