The Great Market Conversation

A new year has begun, so welcome to 2021! ;) Let’s make this a great year despite anything that could be happening in the world. Recently I was speaking with some friends and they were all going on about how dreadful things were in their lives because of what was taking place in the world and I couldn’t help but feel a bit sad to hear that. My family and I have gone on with our lives despite the lockdowns and such. We live like we always have, we go shopping, visit family and friends and make our lives enjoyable at home. Life continues and I would encourage you to do the same, shut off the news and radio and listen to some music, play some games at home and make it a good year!

Recently I was speaking to students about the Great Conversation and I was referring to the conversation had by many philosophers throughout the years, discussing our lives and how we live them. It’s been an ongoing discussion for thousands of years. Upon contemplating this and as I was reading some of the works of Plato, I realized that we are doing the exact same thing in our classroom sessions. We discuss not only life but mostly about the charts. The charts are a mystery, just as life is and when you use methods of analysis and discussion in a certain way; we can put pieces of this mysterious puzzle together. So far through the years we’ve been doing this we have learned so much about trend lines, zones, trends and price structure among a few. There is incredible power in this process so if you are a student and you have joined in on our live sessions I will really encourage you to do so.

Here’s to another amazing year of discovery and happiness!
